Give a book for Christmas

I will have copies of my book, Nature Sings, that are beautifully wrapped and books in gift bags as well that will be ready to place beneath the Christmas tree. Where else can you buy a gift for under $30 without the hassle of wrapping the gift? You can also go to my website at https://www.marlenetidwell.com/poetry to purchase a book. I will also have copies of 4 of my poems on beautiful graphics that are ready to be framed including My Beloved Tennessee, one of Tennessee’s official poems.

Also, in the spirit of Dickens of a Christmas I will be sporting a full costume of a Christmas caroler from the era with the red bonnet and all…you heard that right! It will be worth your time just to see that and get a laugh. The whole town will be hopping with characters from the era and activities for the whole family.

Dickens of a Christmas sponsored by Heritage Foundation is in its 39th year. People travel from the surrounding area to enjoy this festival. There will be food and fun for the entire family.

Dickens of a Christmas

Dickens of a Christmas recreates the time of Charles Dickens using historic downtown Franklin’s charming architecture as the backdrop. A variety of musicians, dancers and Dickens characters will fill the streets. Expect to see and interact with the nefarious Fagin from Oliver Twist; Jacob Marley, Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and the rest of the Cratchit family from A Christmas Carol; and of course, a Victorian Father and Mother Christmas with treats for children. The festival is produced by the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County. I hope to see you there!
